Eda Başak Aydan (b. 1998, İzmir, Türkiye) is a Turkish sound designer with a background in classical music. She began her musical journey at the age of eight with classical piano training. She earned music theory and piano certifications from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music up to Level 7. During middle school, she also studied cello in preparation for fine arts high school, where she further developed her musical skills.She went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Music at Istanbul Bilgi University, where she explored composition, harmony, linear sound design, and music production. During her studies, she was accepted to the Madrid Royal Conservatory for an academic year in the composition department. There, she deepened her knowledge in extended techniques, choral conducting, and advanced composition methods.After graduating with an honours degree, her passion for sound design led her to Berlin, Germany, where she studied audio engineering at the SAE Institute Berlin. During her time there, she collaborated with game design students, gained hands-on experience in Foley techniques, and refined her skills in mixing & mastering, post-production, and audio implementation using Wwise and Unreal Engine.Having completed her education entirely in English at Istanbul Bilgi University and the SAE Institute and in Spanish at RCSMM, Aydan is multilingual and actively continues learning Korean and German.She specializes in creating sound for video games, animations, VR/AR experiences, and multimedia projects. Since 2022, she has been based in Germany. After completing her diploma program, she is actively working as a freelance sound designer. With a strong foundation in both musical and technical aspects of sound, she brings a unique artistic touch to her work, crafting rich and dynamic audio experiences.
